2009 AMTA Days

2009 AMTA Days at the Visitor Information Centers
Here’s a FREE opportunity to promote your hotel, attraction or area to visitors that are already on the road traveling!  We will be having AMTA Days at the following State Visitor Centers.  Bring your brochures, give-a-ways and special offers.  This promotion is being coordinated by Candice Coco with the Alpharetta CVB.  Please contact her at candice@awesomealpharetta.com to sign up!

  • Winter Chautauqua 2009 Educational Conference will be held March 1-2, 2009 at the Northwest Georgia Trade and Convention Center (Dalton, GA). More info to follow in early January.

Family Reunion Workshop - This quarterly workshop hosted by Sandy Springs Hospitality & Tourism teaches you the basics for planning a reunion that your family will always remember. Workshop is February 21, 2009 at the Courtyard by Marriott-Glenridge Perimeter Center located at 5601 Peachtree Dunwoody Road, Sandy Springs, GA. Workshop is 10AM-1PM, lunch will be served. Alumni Reunion - Heards Ferry Elementary School, a state School of Excellence, will hold its 40th anniversary gala Feb. 21 at 6 p.m. at The Foundry at Puritan Mills, 916 Joseph E. Lowery Blvd., Atlanta 30318. The cost is $75.00 per person. The event includes a live and silent auction, cash bar, live entertainment and an alumni wall of fame.

Cobb County Family Reunion Workshop Debuts February 28
EVENT: Cobb County Convention & Visitors Bureau FREE family reunion workshop.

WHAT: Reunion organizers typically start planning at least one to two years ahead.

The Cobb County CVB is offering a free family reunion workshop as a 101-style seminar. The workshop includes a "How to Plan a Family Reunion" presentation by the CVB's Family Reunion Service Specialists and a "meet and greet" with hospitality industry partners who specialize in family reunions.

The CVB's new Family Reunion Planning Kit entitled, A "How to" Planning Guide for Family Reunions & Gatherings in Cobb County will be distributed (one per family).

ADMISSION: Admission is free to anyone who is planning a family reunion in Cobb County, but seating is limited to two guests per reunion. A complimentary lunch will be served.
